Greendale

This traditional home remodel had a very dysfunctional small kitchen approx. 10'x 12' and an oversized dining room.  To make the space more open and user friendly, we moved the kitchen where the dining room was and incorporate a large island with seating for 5. At the back entrance, space for coats and shoes were placed along with a much-needed new powder room. In addition, the second-floor bathroom was updated.

Shades of Gray

This is a master bath remodel where the homeowner really just wanted an update. We removed the standard builder grade jetted tub and deck and replaced it with a freestanding soaking tub. We updated all the fixtures and surfaces with new porcelain tile in a neutral color palette which would feel refreshed. The shades of gray we used have warm tones, so this large space feels inviting. The dark gray oak vanities mirror each other on opposite sides of the room while the soaking tub in now the focal point. To add to the visual of this space, a mosaic accent panel adds interest to the floor tile as you approach the soaking tub. A simple chandelier compliments the wall sconces at each vanity and the additional chrome and crystal accents throughout the room. 

Modern Touch

In this traditional home, we removed the front entry closet and hallway to increase the family room. We removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room to introduce a peninsula with counter height seating. We added a walk-in pantry leading to the back hall and updated the existing small powder room. A large entertainment unit was also included in the family room with space for a large flat screen television and electric fireplace. The entire first floor was finished with a floating laminate floor resistant to stain and scratches.

Peaceful retreat

In this master bath remodel, we removed the standard builder grade jetted tub and tub deck to allow for a more open concept. We provided a large single person soaking tub with new wainscot below the panoramic windows and removed the traditional window grills to allow for a clear line of sight to the outside. Roman blinds can be lowered for more privacy. A beautiful chrome and black drum chandelier is placed over the soaking tub and co-exists wonderfully with the other fixtures in the room. The combination of chrome and black on the fixtures adds a little glam to the simplified design.

Calcutta mosaic marble is used on the shower floor while in a basket weave pattern while finishing the walls and balance of the room floor with a polished porcelain tile. A Chevron glass tile accent is added to either end of the shower in an tile framed panels as well as in the 3 niches left of the rain head.

This transitional white kitchen includes simple, clean lines which allow this design to remain timeless. The Alaskan White granite on the perimeter surfaces adjoin the modern look of the stainless steel appliances and classic warmth of the Mahogany island top. The glass tile back splash completes the look adding texture to this classic look. Custom Roman shades allow for privacy and add visual balance to the height of the room.

On the Green

Warm Tones

Inspired by a vacation home, we used white painted cabinets with a soft textured quartz counter top. The warm tones of the wood floors unify the kitchen with the other room. The home owners wanted to increase the beautiful panoramic views of the wooded hillside of their backyard while preparing meals, so the range was relocated. After this remodel, the morning sunrise and evening sunsets are enjoyed by everyone. The oversized island provides wonderful prep space for entertaining.

A multi-functional addition. This 11' by 12' addition serves as a mudroom, laundry room, dry bar, game room and craft room. This design provides tons of natural light and storage.

Everyone deserves to have a kitchen that feels authentic to who they are. This traditional design, in a traditional Pittsburgh home, features Woodland Cabinets in Shaker Painted Moss and Toasted Adler. Collaborated design with Scolieri Interiors.
